I showed this to my construction worker friend and he agrees it’s probably a good thing to give to the new guy as a joke. It’s a slide hammer with a socket that accepts standard jackhammer bits. You pull the heavy handle up and then slam it down into the body of the tool, giving a kick to the bit. I can only imagine how sore I’d be after breaking up even a small amount of concrete with this medieval torture device.
